Monica Lender
Monica Lender received the majority of her ballet training at Ballet Arts in Carnegie Hall with Robert Blankshine; as a scholarship student at the New York School of Ballet with Richard Thomas; and at the David Howard Dance Center with David Howard and Diana Cartier. She danced professionally in the U.S. and abroad with multiple companies which included James Sewell Ballet, Feld Ballets/NY, Princeton Ballet, Ballet Manhattan, and Dance Express. Monica discovered her love for teaching while continuing her career as a free-lance artist and has been rewarded by the wonderful students she has had the opportunity to teach through the years. Monica was a long-time adjunct faculty member at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts and has taught and choreographed for studios throughout the region and beyond. She is happy to receive both her YPAD and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications this year and is looking forward to being back in the studio at KBDS.
