Kyla Lavespere

Staff Manager
Acrodance, Hip Hop, Jazz & Contemporary

Kyla’s love for dance began at a young age and has grown into a lifelong passion that she is honored to share with each new generation of dancers. She has trained extensively in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, and Jazz, and after studying at Keene State College, she found her home at Kathy Blake Dance Studios. This season, Kyla is incredibly proud to be celebrating 25 years as a member of the KBDS family.

Believing that great teachers are always learning, Kyla has spent many summers attending Dance Teacher Magazine’sSummer Teacher Conference in New York City, where she trained with some of the world’s most respected choreographers. She was also honored to be selected to demonstrate alongside renowned educator Bob Rizzo during one of his master classes. Kyla is a Certified Acrobatic Arts Instructor and is certified through Youth Protection Advocates in Dance (YPAD). She remains committed to continuing her professional education so she can provide her students with the very best training and mentorship.

For Kyla, teaching is about so much more than steps and technique. She loves watching her dancers grow in confidence, discover their unique strengths, and experience the joy that dance has brought to her own life. She is passionate about creating a classroom where every student feels encouraged, supported, and inspired to be their best. Through patience, positivity, and genuine care, Ms. Kyla strives to help each dancer build not only strong technical skills but also lasting friendships, confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love for the performing arts.
