Margo Schofield

To some, the difference between a parallel or turned out foot is nothing but to us dancers it means the world. You might not think it at first but that is a life skill that applies to the quality of work you will produce for the rest of your life.”

Basics:

2012 Graduate of Milford High School, Milford

3 Years with the Young Americans

KBDS Roots:

Margo began dancing at the age of 11 at Kathy Blake Dance Studios. As soon as she stepped into her first class, Margo began taking up classes in a variety of styles. Contemporary was her favorite. She packed her schedule with classes, and became a member of the Kathy Blake Dance Companies for many years. Margo danced with the studio competitively, attending the Dance Excellence festival in 2008 and 2011. DE exposed Margo to the Young Americans, with whom she attended two workshops when they toured to her high school.

Beyond the Studio:

After graduation, Margo joined the Young Americans as a New Kid. She moved out to California to train with the group in theater, dance and singing. She has been touring on and off with the Young Americans for the past three years, and her most recent tour was her final tour. Margo is currently planning on beginning her study of radiology at the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord.
